  1. How did you get so many? I have 11 or so (some of them from really odd injuries...I have one that looks for all the world like I tried to slit my wrist, but I swear I didn't. I fell on a broken off sapling and it just *happened* to cut in exactly the right place...)
  2. How could anyone forget this gem? (not my creation but funny nonetheless)
  3. I'm reading over this with amusement, seeing how many of these things *I* do. Thankfully, not #24 LOL.
  4. Having children will make your hair fall out...
  5. This doesn't seem so unusual to me...but then, I live not too far from some of the mining towns of PA; coal jewelery is sold in those places, mostly as cheesy souvenirs, however some of it is actually decent looking. There are also coal carvings of animals, trains, etc. which are really quite good, and very sturdy. Not to mention beautiful! I could see making a table out of it!
  6. Yep that'd be my guess as well. GO beat me to it.
  7. You're close. The answer is nausea, and general stomach upset. I have no idea why they thought this would work...you would think the dirt and stuff which might be on their feet would cause far worth problems.
  8. No, none of those. LOL I don't even know what half of those are!! You were *closest* when you said constipation. it is a digestive complaint.
  9. Nope. I honestly didn't think this one would be so difficult!
  10. Nope, nope and nope! Not constipation either. I think it may have come from Pliny though. I read it a while ago, can't remember the source at this point. It's all I had considering none of my books seem to have such information in them.
  11. My mom used to give me wine until she stopped buying it, because it was too expensive (and also she seemed to think she had a drinking problem, which I really didn't see, but eh...)
  12. Afraid it's none of those, GO. It actually has nothing to do with the feet at all. (hence, "weird". I really don't understand it. Must have some superstitious significance rather than anything based in actual sound medical knowledge. At best, I think, the cure would be ineffective).
  13. OK this one is weird. (Pertinax might know). What discomfort was treated by washing the patient's feet and having them drink the water?
  14. I wouldn't know!!! Dehydration also produces everything but the dry mouth, in me. As does a "low sugar" episode.
  15. I'm glad I am getting it worked out too. I can't wait to have a good, sound harp to play . I also can't wait to be able to afford a couple grand "spare cash" to get a custom made one from Heartland Harps!! And...I know.
  16. I need to go through my books upstairs and see if theres anything for a new "question". If someone wants to jump ahead of me feel free.
  17. Yep. That would be me. Playing around with the camera's self timer.

  18. Actually in her defense I'm not even sure she shipped it out herself. The harp is made by a company over in Pakistan, and they are sold everywhere. Mass-produced sort of thing. Usually they are pretty good, but occasionally something happens to one, it could have been a manufacturing error (they are "hand made mass produced") or it could have been dropped in shipping. I just happened to get a good package deal on Ebay, but I could have bought it anywhere. She might never have actually seen the harp in question.
  19. Yea, I know, right? I'm also old enough to go to war, get maimed, or killed. but I'm not old enough for a beer. "God bless America"
  20. I won't be. A shipping label is on the way to me right now to exchange it actually. The woman I bought it from has been wonderful in helping me out with it, contacted the company repeatedly actually to get me information.
  21. My mom and I have both bought a ton of stuff from ebay, and we've never had any problem. I've actually gotten some wonderful things from Ebay. This could have been damaged in transit. The box it came in was pretty beat up. Actually, the woman I bought it from has been wonderful in getting it straightened out, going so far as to repeatedly contact the company that made it on my behalf, and arranging a speedy exchange (the shipping label is on its way as we speak). I really don't think it's her fault.
