I am looking for information on what Roman Centurions and Roman Legionnaries wore during the winter months when stationed in Southern England. I understand that they wore some sort of leggings but what were they made of and did they wear anything to cover their arms?

I am researching the roman history in East Devon. I have heard that Moridunum is just outside Honiton can anyone verify this for me? I have heard it from a source from an archaeological group. Any ideas on where I can get verfication?
