  1. Do not flame on this board, regardless of another person's opinions or misinformation.
  2. I thought it was much more enjoyable than the last 10 crap movies I saw in the theater, even with the artificial cheese topping.
  3. Funny how power/status/rule/etc is an almost inescapable constant. Humans are so chaotic because they are caught between these animal survival tools (the insatiable urge to procreate, for example) and the human survival tool (rational mind) How does a society transition between the two? If survival of the 'fittest' applied up until now, what is the mechanism of further progress? Sorry, just thinking aloud.
  4. One lion incapacitated 42 midgets in 12 minutes??? That's killing/maiming one every 17 seconds!!! Maybe they should have been pitted against my cat, it's only 5 - 6 lbs full grown...
  5. Interesting thread. The idea of immaculate conception has always baffled me, considering the nature of the Christian God and the physical nature of conception. I suppose its a pre-requisite in order to consider Jesus as Holy in the Judaic sense.
  6. Thats awesome! Led Zeppelin rules!
  7. Wow, he has a nice flat skull... like Frankenkhamun
  8. Ye gads! You'sa no like'sa stupid characters?
  9. I'm a robot, 100% rational. Strange... I used to think my father was a machine.
  10. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320661/board/threads/ I sometimes read those forums for entertainment, because the squabbling and flaming is usually ridiculous. However, for this movie there seems to be more threads about how critics have no idea what they are talking about.
  11. What is this in referrence to exactly? I know that is a member on the TWC forums.
  12. Well, hopefully I'll stop hearing about this now!!
  13. Yes, I endured much exasperated forehead slapping during King Arthur and I fell asleep during Troy.
  14. A means for popular media to manipulate masses to their own end? Did i get it right?
  15. A lot of things motivated me to learn history but mostly I'm curious about why I'm here and why things are the way they are...
  16. I think that America is not selfish enough... meaning concerned chiefly or only with oneself. I also think our free market ideals are being mixed with socialism... just consider Fatboy's post about the IMF. I think that combination is ultimately self-destructive and not selfish. Free market ideals should never be forced, the only way America should try to spread them is by example.
  17. Yes, it means 'Tribe of the Raven'. If you follow the links you'll see that we are basically reenacting a Celtic tribe in the historically based Roman MMORPG, Roma Victor, the game for which this website started as a Roman resource.
  18. Actually, I don't see this thread as being a problem, at least among the regular members. I voted no. I could write a book explaining my reasoning and nitpicking the rights and wrongs of America, but I'm tired and its time for bed.
