  1. Billions of dollars in funding comes to mind. I don't subscribe to one theory or the other, but I'm surely not blind to the fortunes to be made from carbon regulation and I'm definitely distrustful of anyone telling me I should be afraid. Do you think that a carbon market is the answer? A carbon tax? What about banning the less energy efficient items from public consumption? Buying your guilt away? My carbon guilt only costs $29.95, where's my wallet?
  2. I found some stuff on YouTube, lol http://youtube.com/results?search_query=sh...p;search=Search
  3. Awesome post! I'm still waiting for a good singleplayer Roman adventure RPG.
  4. http://www.fln.vcu.edu/struwwel/struwwel.html I read this 19th century picture book (with these exact illustrations, but a different translation) when I was young, like my mother did and her parents did. What a trip...
  5. http://www.reason.com/news/show/120405.html Is it just me or is this the most Orwellian thing you've seen since Britain's proto-telescreens?
  6. Just wait until they get into your house.
  7. I'd say Soviet and American intervention. Here's a question for you... what are the differences/similarities of Russia's current terrorist problems and our own?
  8. Hahaha! Don't forget to root for the UNRV intercollegiate beer-drinking champions.
  9. I think that enough anthropogenic CO2 production could have an effect. That's just common sense. Though, I'm far from convinced that we know exactly how much of an effect it has in the broad and complex scope. It seems the reasoning is circular since we are still discovering important aspects of climate, and opposing theories have as much or more valid evidence and reasonings. All I know is that we certainly are not sure enough about it to start creating authoritarian laws and monopolized carbon markets which regular people like you and I will necessarily end up paying out for, to the benefit of those in control of it.
  10. The initial article indicates the 2nd century BC, the blog post in polecat's reply indicates the 2nd millennium BC.
  11. Buy large cases of energy drinks and sell them from your pack at school. lol
  12. I still don't understand the attraction of grand openings.
  13. This has everything to do with school.
  14. If you get Cthulhu, I get Shub-Niggurath.
  15. Very nice. What software and tablet do you use?
  16. I'm halfway through 'Something Happened' and it certainly seems to be relevant now more than ever. Thanks for recommendation!
  17. What principle are you referring to? ^_^
  18. Thanks for the link, I hadn't seen anything about this. It certainly assumes more reader intelligence than stuff like Jack Thompson putting the blame on Bill Gates and Italy's Il Messaggero claiming that "In Virginia at the age of 13, you can buy a revolver at a supermarket."
  19. Yeah, I was a little suprised when you posted that specific part.
  20. BTW, do you know what a cougar is? Do you have any dog-walk parks nearby?
