The medieval West from 1000 to 1500 and the Abbasid Empire is noted for having several similarities and several differences. The differences were (according to my Princeton Review book lol) that in the Abbasid Empire the people became more wordly, while in the medieval West the people became very provincial. Can anyone help me with the similarities between these two great periods in history?

Hello everybody, I am not sure if this is the right board to be posting this topic, but I am struggling with an AP World History in which I must compare and contrast the Roman Empire and the Han Dynasty. The essay must include comparisons or contrasts of government and imperial administration, economy, religion, artistic and cultural achievements, and finally, the effect on subsequent civilizations.
