Considering our soldiers today are allways going down with stress disorders because of what they witness during battles etc, i've often wondered about the mental state of the Legionaries.Did they all handle the stress in there stride or did some of them go nuts?was there any cases of suicides etc? Does anyone have any ideas on the age of new recruits to the Legions?if you join the army at say 15(guess) and you serve the full term,you've probably witnessed a hell of a lot of death.

Some type of engineer,building aqueducts and bridges all across the empire i love the manpower and the scale of the engineering in Rome. I love the Roman army but i wouldnt fancy life as a legionarie,too much marching and discipline for the likes of me

As the Romans advanced the Empire they were Advancing into Celtic lands (in the western case).So the Romans nearly allways had to fight the native tribes who occupied these territories.The Celts wouldnt allow the Romans to take over there homeland and there culture without a fight. Hadrians wall was built as a defence against the Caledonii tribe but it was allso a statement to the people in Rome,a defenite barrier on the edge of the known world,the limit of the Roman Empire.But the Caledonii people didnt care about that,to them it was a Roman barrier built over there homeland.

The realism team are better than Activision imho,they put a lot more time into Historical accuracies and they got rid of that awful Red/Blue/Green rubbish.Its The Realism MOD all the way for me,why dont you install it?you can allways delete it if you dont like it.

Thanks for the info monkey,I have a Boxer Dog and a Border collie,the Collie is really smart and nasty and the Boxer is daft as a brush and really friendly I found this site whilst looking for info on English Bulldogs,A guy back in the 70's started a breeding programme to try and bring back the lost Breed I wondered why they were called Dog Tags I allways thought the spiked collar was for defence,say when guarding cattle, if a dog is fighting a wolf the spiked collar protects his throat,i may be wrong though i just assumed as much. The Cane corso is probably my favourite looking Mastiff,nice and strong but not too big and slobbery.
