  1. Really, why didn't you just say so!? I would have believed you the first time bud. Who are you talking about, pick your words a bit more carefully please. Are you talking about the internet beeing a know it all, or me?
  2. Quick decisions, are unsafe decisions. --Sphocles
  3. Amen to that my friend, amen to that.
  4. Look for the sake of these people I wont get in a spat with you. You could have sent me a personal mail. You like to attack me so its not a surprise for me...in fact its expected. P.S. I'm 15 years old so I am a bit you know still you should treat me with some respect.
  5. I'd try to harass their spearman from the sides with my horse archers and try to entice their cavlry where I have the advantage. I would not foolishly attack veterans when they are in a good position and my guys are tired. I don't want to brang, but remember it has been said that Egyptian troops would do anything to defend the pharaoh. It has been said that these units have been known to fight to the death. P.S. Primus Pilus if you did not point out that they did have legions before Marius I would be completely confused. So thank you.
  6. Does Hadrian's wall have anything to do with it, or am I just jumping the gun? I do remember though Caeser had a lot more trouble putting the British to rest than the Gauls.
  7. Just think about it if you don't believe Jesus was real or not. If he was noted to be a good man why would he marry Mary Magdeline if he was to be crucified short after? Da Vinci made most of those pictures and depicted women as men, pending back then men would have long hair and no facial hairs. Some of the stuff can possibly be true, but he was probably jealous of Michaelangelo so he made things up. P.S. This is just an opinion and do not chastise me for this, so I better say this quickly: DA VINCI WAS A CON ARTIST AND A HACK!

  9. Your right they have been noted to be in Romania, sorry my fault. They were derived from Roman laguage thats why they have 'Latin' language. Romania is the Germanic word for any culture that has been influenced by Rome in the Blakans. Believe it or not Romania and Romans do actuall have the same content.
  10. Happy birthday Neos Dionysius! Happy Easter if you celebrate it!
  11. No, they are not. The conception maybe that both of us are Oriental Orthodoxy in the same time period. The Kopts were the Greek word for Egyptians. It was dated back to the time of the pharaoh. Armenians, are not so much more Catholic, it is that they are more 'wide open,' if you'd like. They are not more close to the Catholic. Georgians, Russians, and Turks were strictly for the Orthodoxy religion. Armenia was under the heavy influence of the strict Russian Orthodoxy. The double-sided eagle represents the Eastern Orthodoxy and Western Catholocism. The right compimnents the Byzantium empire, while the left is the Roman. I hope that answered some questions. Just remember Kopts are just another name by the Greeks to refer to the 'original Egyptian.'
  12. All of the North African countries except Egypt are Berber.
  13. Only the dead have seen the end of the war. --Plato
  14. Ursus, all that I read in that article was a hundred percent true. You guys know that I'm one tough critic, but that article absolutely nailed it. That was a great article and I'm glad there are some people that know the true Egypt. Thanks for that great article Ursus, that was nothing short of amazing!
  15. It appears my scenario is the one that does not make any sense!
  16. Hannibal knew how to gain a victory, but not know how to use it. --Maharabal
  17. I agree with everything you said, except for the Dacians and Thracians influencing the Greeks and Romans. If anything they were only written in Greek texts. As Athenian 1771 alluded too, the religion of Greece was adopted by many nations, not just one changed by other cultures. The Dacians would have been around the relative point of modern day Switzerland. The northern cultures never inflluenced Mediterranian culture, only the other way around. Dacians were noted to be Germans Gauls, and sometimes Romans. The Roman influence led the Dacians to be civilized peoples. Thracia would be north of Macedonia and from Macedonian decsents. Thracians did have a relative stay in Dacian territory, but did not have much of an effect on them. Much of the Dacian weaponry and armour were Roman based objects.
  18. Try this one. Your in Germanic lands and they have sent a detatchement of 80,000 men! Your stuck until your reenforcements come and have you only 20,000 men. They have twice as much cavalry, and are hungry for Roman blood. Your siege equipment is firing down on the enemy and your archers do too. Their axeman run into your legions, and you realize their cavalry is slamming into yours. Your now in a full attack as your reenforcements arrive. The army will be doomed if you don't get your fresh troops to them, and you must be diligent ad hurry. How would you come across in an effective attack to overrun the enemy?
  19. Does anyone know anything about the Nemmey ships he made. It interests me too death.
  20. I know, they all are. Thats why they believed in the same Gods, some maybe more than others. For example Crete liked Poseidon because they were primarily sea people. Even Italy was under the influence of the Greek Gods. Macedonia, Greece, Cyprus and many other islands and nations around the Balkans shared the same mentality and influence. I may need to word my posts more coherently, but I did mean what I said. Dacia and Thrace were very similar. However whoever thinks that Thracia and Scythia were the same that not true. Remember Greek influence came anywhere from France to India.
  21. Welcome, I hope to be seeing your posts soon!
  22. That is beautiful. Is that on sale, and if so for how much? Never mind ust saw it. Its not too bad in price but keep in mind its just a map. I still WANT IT REALLY BADLY. Time to start raising money.
  23. Hi everyone I know its a bit late in the game but I live in Pittsburgh and have an undying passion for history. I play baseball and sometimes baskeball with my friends. I love history but sadly a lot of people to not these days. I am a history and sports nut. Remember whoever does not like history does not know the past shapes the future. P.S. I asked a couple of kids at my school they barely knew who Alexandeer the Great was! Whoever knew Atilla the Hun was hailed a genius.
