  1. Also, he left behing two kids and his wife. They showed pictures of him walking his child, sometimes we forget celebritities have lives beyond the television. Rest In Peace buddy.
  2. This is sad. I thought Andre Agassi retiring was a big deal, when I heard this on the news I couldn't believe it. I used to watch him with my family and how cool and effortless he made it look was something to see. There probably will never be another 'Crocodile Hunter.' He has left a heck of a legacy behind. There was no one that could compare to him in the name of nature conversation, then again there probably never going to be someone like him.
  3. Well yes, the U.S. did not have the best army in the world at that time, and just a boast about navy but look at how the sides shifted in power. It needed to supress the Germans to regulate trade and stop the killing. If Europe fell to Germany, the U.S. would have a hard time trying to put an end to further destruction. There were political reasons certainly involved. They say that is why the American did not provide relief to the Eastern Front but the going to the war is beeing missed. In war time you do anything to win a war.
  4. As Ursus alluded to earlier, the only reason people see the Gnostic bibles as something good is because it encompases three religion, Christianity, Judaism, and Paganism. It's set out to pit conspiracy and to try to mess with the canon of the church. Apologize for my opinionated posts. By the way, I got Dave Brown's book from the library and some guy tried to sell me the movie in New York City. So how legitimate he is...
  5. No trouble for where Rameses will go. I'm going to the University of Penn State along with my two brothers and sister. They'll probably graduate by the time I'm there though. Anyways, I hope you find a good college. Completing 4 years of a language and getting a lot of credits in will help. If you know a secondary language...
  6. What the heck, why didn't I notice that. Congrats to all the winners. From now on I got to be more alert. :bag:
  7. Here is my opinion. I say this as an Orthodox believer. The Da Vinci Code was made as a scam so Mr. Brown can make some money. On the day his movie was released, 65 million dollars went into his bank account. Currently he is under allegations from the authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail, Holy Bible. If you've read the book you can blatanly see that his date for the Priory of Zion is completely wrong. His facts page is nothing more than intrigue to atract people. In 2003 he was interviewed by CNN when it newly came out. When they asked him if it was a fictional or factual book he replied, "If it was a fictional book it would read the same." In 2006 recently when asked by 60 minutes on CBS the same question he replied, "Everything in this book is fact." The books says fictional on it, yet he has a facts page. He also makes a claim that the Dead Sea Scrolls were founded in the 1950's. The truth is it was found in 1947. Now we see how Dan Brown can't get his dates right, he can't get his facts straight! This guy is a class act.
  8. Geez Gaius diabetes doesen't run in my family. You seem to be a doctor so I'll say this, I'm fairly alkaline.
  9. I agree with Primus Pilus, the older the person the more I feel that mistakes are limited. I'm not narrow minded into thinking that kids are dumb and adults are smart. After all, doesen't Italian wine get better with age!
  10. Thanks Ursus, I hope you have a great long weekend also.
  11. Ok, so one of our moderators votes for the Miami Dolphins. Oh come on America. I for one am deeply disappointed at the lack of participation. 5 days and 10 hours to game time. America, take back your game! Let's do this take your pick!
  12. That's an interesting story. I like pop-tarts, but not cooked just normal.
  13. You know, are you sure it wasn't Brett Favre? I know last year a sports analyst who will not be named was caught while driving with drug paraphanelia, or however you spell it.
  14. So you wanna play hardball Pantagathus?
  15. Have their been any attempts to rebuild this church?
  16. How did the Phoenicians and nomadic Berber tribes coexist? Who ruled the armies? Were they mixed between Lebaneses (Phoenician) and Berbers? How did the language effect the populace? Did they conquer the land or just established the city of Carthage and numerous cities across the coast. Have they any connection with modern day Lebanon? Have they ever had any conflicts with Egypt for control of the coast? No matter how many articles I read, no matter how many documentaries, no matter how many books I still can't understand. Please someone help.
  17. Welcome to the blogging community. I have biology this year, which I hate. My parents want me also to go to the medical field, pharmacy. I don't like science but chemistry is fun. I'm taking AP European History, besides French II, my only honors class but hey I would not have it any other way. Hey, have you ever put sodium in water?
  18. That above picture looks like Inter Milan. My favorite team from Italy.
  19. Well, here in America it is almost football season. However this is not just for people in America to cheer on. For example people in England took a picture in front of the real Big Ben, and wearing Steelers jersies to support the Pittsburgh Steelers. From Miami to Seattle I want to know who your favorite team is. With school, comes football making Rameses happy. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Anyways, I'll start off. The Pittsburgh Steelers, I think they will win again and the more anyone says they won't, multiplies their chances of winning.
  20. Hi, I obvioulsy don't know as much as tflex on Arabic but it is my second language. What you must understand is that there are different dialects around the Middle East. The pure Arabic called Al balady, the form of dialect is Al fulany. What I would do is get acostumed to the sounds and try to repeat it. Arabic is very easy to speak but reading and writing is hard as they mentioned above. Egyptian films tend to be the best for learning since they are the most at making films. The rest of the Middle East understands our dialect so we are clear to them. Either way, become familiar with the sounds and alphabet. Try to pronounce some words. Leave reading and writing for last because it is a rich language. To this day I still can't fully read and write. I found this comparison in Greek and Arabic: Aleph: Alpha Be: Beta Th: Theta See, it's not all too different. I can tell your a very cultured and smart kid so it will not be hard at all. Good Luck.
