I'm not trying to be militant, but I'm genuinely curious. How does one study the nature of something that refuses to make itself tangible? You can't observe god, or at least, sadly, I can't. Why do we work for the glory of god-- who does god show off to?

I attended a youth group meeting at one of my friend's churches once. They were talking about fellowship. The guy preaching made a good point about how the church brings people together. Unfortunately, he started talking about people in fellowship share things in the community; I can't exactly repeat what he said-- but it was basically something a Marxist would say, and I'm a capitalist, not a communist. Also, saying working on sundays for extra pay is the devil using you kind of turned me off. Can god be a sum of all physical forces within the universe?

Haha thanks all you guys and gals! You gave me a big smile and a laugh today! Birthday's great so far. Yesterday was Prom, (and Rome's birthday!) so I guess that was a party all on its own... fancy clothing, expensive food, more exercise on the dance floor than I get in a week. I'm exhausted! How exactly were supply lines protected? For instance, how would a large chain of supply from Jeruselum to Masada be protected from bandits and/or terrorists? Cavalry escorts? Armed drivers?

I was very pleased when I got mail the other day. I have been asked to join a group of musicians for a tour of Europe next summer as a "Music Ambassador." We are going through VIL, a 16-day trip through 7 countries in Europe. Our travels will include, in chronological order: England (London and Windsor), France (Paris), Switzerland (Crans-Montana), Liechtenstein (Vaduz), Austria (Innsbruck, Seefeld), Italy (Venice!), and Germany (Munich/Dachau, Rothenburg, Frankfurt). Hell yeah. My clarinet and I are traveling the world. If any of you are in any of these areas, give me a holler.

OMG I'm watching the news, and they had footage from a student's camera phone... the person was running... you could hear the footsteps... a shot... and the phone fell to the ground...

One thing I've noticed: All the pics show the cops standing outside behind their cars... aren't they s'posed to be going in there to get the guy?! This is horrible stuff.
