  1. Had a sweatshirt with a 'hoodie.' GO, do you know of the instrument I speak of?
  2. Ok, thankees all. Greek drama is really hard to understand when it describes historical events I'm not familiar with.
  3. We were reading Sophocles' Antigone in world liturature class, and this line caught my eye. Sophocles wrote this in 442 B.C, so what exactly is he talking about? The Greek colonies? It's all Greek to me.
  4. Hehe. Someday I'll pop on over and order a ninjiggy sub.
  5. Hah thanks for reminding me, I gotta start looking into colleges too.
  6. I'd need a really long sock because I play the "licorice stick." Some :wheelchair:-timer told me that's what they used to call 'em. Besides, it'd still get wet.
  7. A short while back we had a thread on this which I may have started. Can't find it. I think that the conclusion was that the hand meant: "This far and no more!". I am pretty sure that if you look in Pertinax gallery, you will see that standard. That would be this topic, with the hand at the top of the standard being a symbol of power.
  8. I have the one Grant wrote. It is a good book that I will write a review for when I get the time.
  9. I hail from the glorious cheese-manifesto of Swissconsin! The Swissconsin River resides across the street from my house.
  10. Well, I just got home from band practice. We were practicing our field-formations for this friday's homecoming football game. I didn't bring my instrument for several reasons. 1) It was cold (30-40*F)- holding metal for two hours would be horendous. 2) Rain. Metal and rain = bad, water is a corrosive chemical. 3)Cold- it would be pointless playing in the cold as the pitch would go flat and sound horrible. Turns out I was the one least suffering. :nopity: The several hours I spent out there reminded me of the legions. In a book I read it vividly told of Germanicus' Legions trudging through a horrible storm on the northern German coast, and I felt just like one of those marching legionnaires. Oh well, I complain too much.
  11. Hey look, now they are burning pope dolls and German flags. The pope's apology didn't mean nil. Oh, they also appear to have called some more jihads on everybody. Better keep the football handy...
  12. Can it be plausible to say that a grade point average is a number based on how well you follow orders?
  13. Perhaps I should read my world news online instead of watching it at supper?
  14. I think everyone knows what they stand for, no matter what they say now.
  15. ok I'll play along. Male: (full name) tjehoiohdmneasn
  16. The amount of posts doesn't affect anything but a mere 'title' so don't worry. Welcome.
  17. Pope shouldn't apologize, it's foolishness to apologize to fools. Global jihad? Hm... don't they realize that if they launch a single nuclear weapon the whole region will be wiped off the map? Fools.
  18. Wow! Thanks Gaius! I saw an interesting thing on the news that because the WTC was so tall, the top of the towers experienced two extra minutes of sunlight after the sun had set.
  19. Antiochus uploads @ 3 megabytes, and he thinks that it's quite alright! Antiochus can tell yours is a snail, because he never got that g-mail. 8)
