  1. Messalina? Poppea? One of the Agrippinas? Calpurnia? Vipsania? Julia? 'The'?
  2. "...said tract of land is hereafter to be called by the name or names of New Caeserea or New Jersey: ...." See: http://www.yale.edu/lawweb/avalon/states/nj01.htm
  3. Please expand! Jersey = a corruption of Caesar. The State of New Jersey. (Originally, Province of Novo Caesaria).
  4. Absolutely! Just bring one with you, and it will account for a lifetime's premiums.
  5. I am pretty sure that the Roman Popes did carry some Imperial titles until the 19th century. So did the Austrian emperors. I don't think that is why Rome really never fell. I feel that Rome took bits and pieces from others; added and improved them; provided their own innovations, and left them to us. Rome is and has been an idea - an ideal - today.
  6. Hey!, you, you . I have already put him up - and I know how you got his name ! --------------------------------------- David's father?
  7. Cecil of Brookfordshiresexingham (No connection with Lloyd's of London) will insure the asylum. Just send the premiums to him. No rubber checks, please.
  8. Pres. Kennedy was 'groomed' for his role. Monarchs and emperors are groomed for their roles. Most Roman emperors were groomed for their roles for 1,500 years. Geo. Washington switched sides when he was refused a regular army commission by the British. Generals and politicians are groomed for their roles today as in the past. Family, contacts, money, and struggle play a most important part in their advancement. Taking advantage of the skills of others is part and parcel of a great man. So is breaking the 'rules'; the American revolutions. Are these leaders (both men and women) to be consigned to infamy as many here would seem to have Augustus? The entire Western World celebrates Augustus. Two thousand years of study has it all wrong. Writers and historians have fallen for this 'propaganda'. Everyone has gotten it all wrong! [As an aside, Britain has an island named after Caesar; the U.S., a state.]
  9. Here is the answer to the problem. A three way merger: Chrysler, Lada, and Yugo. Adopt Enron accounting standards, and all will be well.
  10. What could one expect from Calabrians! In any case would you kindly let me know how either, or both, varmints taste?
  11. The Senate couldn't raise legions nor supply gold to them?
  12. None of the questions are answered.
  13. Very nice work, Big A. May one take it that writings do exist in Carthaginian and not simply in translations?
  14. Whilst looking up the origin of the Hungarian language (Finno-Ugrian group), I came across a statement that the Carthaginian language is an offshoot of Hebrew. It seems so odd to me that none of their script has been found yet, as they had colonies all over the Mediterranean. Is it possible that the Romans obliterated them to that extent?
  15. Hey! I'm not the one spewing falsehoods over here, Edith! ?Que?
  16. If ever there was a canard, that is it! And I don't mean a duck! You, you !
  17. Look, you smarty pants intellectual and Tattletale, I got it right, didn't I? As Pater Arcanae, I have lots of prerogatives! Eat your heart out! It's the first one I've gotten right, and the likes of you comes down on the god-Consul like maggots on a wound. O.K., so I am plotzed now, and couldn't put a pic up sober anyway, so, YOU or Ingsoc goes next. Who ever gets in first. I still LOVE you.
  18. Well, I don't promise to behave myself. Remember I can send one of my button men to adjust your thinking. Don Tomasso
  19. "Asclepiades is right about Magna Graecia and Syracusa, meaning that Rome couldn't have copied the political structures of her nearest neighbors." Why not? Were they totally ignorant of Athens? Two consuls; two polemarchs(?)? Again, in my opinion, 'democracy' has never existed, doesn't, and never will. All mankind can hope for is good rulers.
  20. And with that, The Augusta's pants suddenly burst into flames ... Why don't you just open your veins?
