  5. Greek tombstones were not just commemorative markers, but served as therapy for the bereaved, says a study on images and epitaphs found on 2,300-year-old gravestones. The research examined 245 grave reliefs from the Greek city-states of Smyrna and Kyzikos in present-day Turkey. Dating to the Hellenistic period (323-31 B.C.), when production of funerary reliefs was at its height in western Asia Minor, the rather expensive tombstones probably belonged to the equivalent of middle class individuals. ...more at Discovery

  12. it seems no one can right now upload images, i notified the host about it, seems like the transition made some unwanted changes, i keep you up to date... Any update concerning posting pictures? I still cannot. guy also known as gaius Hi gaius, i am aware that it is not working yet properly, we have adressed several things (without effect) but i think we soon have it fixed...   14. @guy, the maximum upload limit was 40 MB, i increased it now to 80 MB, you should be able to post images, let me know if it works... for all members that struggle with certain parts of the color scheme; there is at the bottom a link called "change theme" , just click on it and choose IP board, it will have the default colors of invision, maybe that helps as a temporary solution... cheers viggen

  17. Hi Caesar Novus, could you further explain "very unstable", please bare in mind through the DNS switch (some techinical stuff where the domain is pointed to a different server) it might be a bit choppy the next couple of hours...

Of the countless millions of human beings that have lived since our species wondered if there was a better place to live than Africa, maybe only a handful have ever been called 'The Great'. It's possible today to see his colossus, a broken statue of immense proportion casting him in the guise of the great god Jupiter, something I find an amusing anomaly considering his association with the rise of Christianity.
