I didn't know they did this sort of thing at reinactments to Do you know why they didn't remove the wounded man's pant leg before trying to get the bullet out? (and for that matter, why is the poor guy wearing sweatpants? ) The reasons may be twofold-1. no time 2. anatomical "operables" have rather obvious "insert/penetration" zones that are better disguised by clothing.
