Ancient and modern entertainment venues.Could the oblong area just south and east of the theatre be a hippodrome?

I would say that it was probably too small to be a hippodrome. I understand that they were something in the order of 500 plus yards long, with one end rounded. So this oblong seems an unlikely shape to be one.
