This week was actually pretty good, all things considered. Still, I'm tired. I was sick over the weekend, and started out the week not being able to eat well, so I was already off to a nasty start. Add to that hormone fluctuations and a few other things, and well, it went well but I'm glad it's over.

 

My beads from Fire Mountain came yesterday, and I made a couple of bracelets. I'm not entirely happy with them, for various reasons, but I am mostly satisfied with how they came out.

Nope. those black beads are rainbow obsidian. The picture does not show the rainbows well unfortunately. :disgust:

 

And the others which kind of look like hematite are Tahitian pearls (of the Swarovski cultured veriety) :furious:

Beautiful creations, LW! I haven't tried my hand at making jewelry, but I do like to buy cheap cloth bags, and then dress them up by sewing on beaded fringe. Here's a yoga bag I picked up at a street fair, and then bought the beads at a place on 6th Avenue in Manhattan:

I just noticed that I need to trim off that stray thread on the right! Anyway, I bet you would love some of our bead shops on 6th Ave.
