Geeks like me all too often focus on the historical and academic side of things, neglecting the personal. Your blog is a good reminder that religion is a living and breathing affirmation of one's relation to the divine.

I'd like to echo Pantaganthus' comment on the Devotion piece. My creative work is the single most important source of happiness and satisfaction in my life. I don't follow a deity, but everything I do, I try to keep it in the context of the incredible realization that I am a conscious individual with a free will.

I will make an effort to update the blog at least once a week, probably more, sometimes less. (I do not want to "force it" when I am uninspired, but there are a million essays that I could write lol)

I don't focus on the historical and academic side, so some of my beliefs will probably seem a little "off" from that point of view. To me, it's all personal, and usually very deeply emotional.
