I was in bed last night, and once again, I was woken abruptly by a noise. This time I wasn't my brother (he was in Spain at the time), but the sound of a window smashing in the building apposite my house. Already content with staying in bed, and safe in the knowledge that the building was in fact a derelict hall of residents

If the building compnay were responsible for trying to burn the house down, I bet they would have been pretty %$*&% (is that even a word? :ph34r: ) to realise that they had failed. Hopefully if they try again, they will fail again.

 

Will anyone bother trying to bring the matter up with the council or other local authorities?

Oh, think nothing of it. Happens all the time in NYC. There is a name for this type of conflagration - but I can't go into it here. Might offend.

 

Recently some chap had his warehouse set alight. Burned the whole block down. Managed to involve a few more. Burned for days. Little kiddies and pyromaniacs had a party.
