That's crap. Where was this diplomat from ? He should be drawn and quatered.

The bootblack and his family should be allowed to shoot at the Diplomats butt with an industrial staple gun, repeatedly.

The only way for retribution back now if the diplomat's home country is smart enough to realize this might hurt foreign relations and so they might punish him.

The diplomat is from Yemen, and the embassador has been called into the departement of internal affairs, i believe the diplomat will be expelled from austria, but thats it. Diplomats are untouchable, at least he missed the poor dude but imagine if an ordinairy citizen would have shot right through a busy hotel lounge, i guess a couple of years in jail would be the possible outcome...p.s. The embassador from Yemen said on our news the diplomat will leave austria immediately and he apologized for this incident..

A friend of mine was a cop in NYC. He watched an Egyptian ambassador run a red light and slam into the side of another car. Naturally, he went over to sort things out. When all was said and done, he was the one who got into trouble.

On the other side of the coin, about 25 years ago, my then girlfriend and I 'baby sat' a Danish consul's home. His car came in the bargain. But, he warned us that the Danish government paid all fines and that the culprit had to cough up the gold. I was a good boy.

yup, all of it...but in any case he left the country...
