Knowing you, I should have known what you meant, hehe. It does look like blood, come to think of it. Must have been so traumatised that I blocked it out of my memory. My naughty cousin - she was a handful that one!

Aha! I thought I'd remembered a thread somewhere on the UNRV board where a bunch of us had started posting our kiddie pics. And so I found it (postings from May-September of 2007): Summer of Love, 40th Anniversary.

 

The kiddie pics seem to have vanished over time, but we had kiddie pics posted by Northern Neil, The Augusta, Docoflove, and myself, and promises of kiddie pics from GPM and Moonlapse.

Okay, for a limited time only, I will share a pic of myself. But, as Docoflove can tell you (when she visited me in NYC) I hate, hate, HATE pictures of myself. So I hope you appreciate the sacrifice I'm making here.

 

This pic was taken on the deck of Crabby Jerry's in Greenport, Long Island, where I was enjoying a crab salad. It's one of my favorite pics because of the giant osprey sculpture captured in the background (upper left of photo).

 

That's "Morning Call" by Roberto Julio Bessin. He created the sculpture as a memorial after the World Trade Center disaster, and it's made of the steel recovered from Ground Zero.

 

 

Regardless of how much sunlight to which I may be exposed, I remain gothly pale.

Boy, that was painful. I've finally come up with some pics I thought were reasonable. And since they'll only be here temporarily as well, I thought I'd give you more than one... These were taken in northern Mozambique last year.
