It's one of my favorite names and, unfortunately, there's no masculine form that I know of.

I've found a masculine form of Laiseriona for you: Lasairian (alternately, Laserian). This was the name of a 7th century Irish missionary who was made a saint by the Catholic Church.

I believe it's pronounced pretty much the way it appears: lah-zeh-ree-an. Not sure where the accent is placed, although on the second syllable seems about right.

Lasairian it's a beautiful fish with a fancy name. I have his blue brother in a tank right behind me.

BTW what size it's that tank? It looks really small. Sometime ago I had kept a female in a small tank and she developed a nasty fin rot from the toxic waste in the water. I cured her but she never looked that good again.

The betta that I have now has his own little kingdom with 30 l of water and a plant (microsorum) in which he sleeps. Gravel and a micro filter will be added soon and later some light and if the plants go well maybe some shrimps.

A betta can do well in 10 l of water but as I wanted to add a filter to reduce the cleaning and the water change it was to little.

It's in a vase. IME bettas actually do really well in vases. You do gotta clean the water often (every week or two).

 

Lasairian is being stubborn. It's normal for Bettas not to eat when you first move them or if you change anything in the tank...well I got him Sunday and he's maybe taken 2 bites since then. I do suspect he may be eating when I'm not looking though.

 

What's really funny is that there is a plant next to his vase and he is in LOVE with it. I swear he's pining after it. LOL
