cool, what kind of songs are you singing?

Basic Choral music um...lets see "Contate Domino" (really difficult song) "Jubilate Deo" (really fun song) "What Child is this?" "the Little Lamb" (annoying, but kind of fun), "Oh Holy Night", "Tocata of Praise" (difficult, but really fun to sing) and "Creator God" (one of my favs) and some others that I can't think of at the moment. We do some warm up songs and such...I don't know if we'll sing them in the concert. I know we were working on Fauna Conzona but I'm not sure if we are still doing that one or not.

*random google search of choral music* >_> The Choir I'm in, in California, is singing Contate Domino..it's a women's choir, so its in SSAA. It's not that difficult compared to "Hymn to the Virgin" or something like that *ish having a brainfart on teh music we've sung*

 

The Choir went to Austria in November... I say the Choir because I didn't go.. lol I couldn't afford to pay 2000 dollars. But yeah... we also sang "Greensleeves" which is, I'm sure you know, another song with the same notes and rhythm as "What Child is This?" just different words lol. We also sang "Still the Holiest Night" Which is a partner peice that features "Oh Holy Night" ^-^ It's great

 

XP I love knowing what music other choirs are singing in other places, its awesome ^-^

Which Contate Domino did you sing? I'm aware that there are several.

 

The one we sang goes "contate domino, cante cum no vum"

 

Now we're singing some 50's music, which I'm really NOT fond of at all...
